Nearby and Eating Out in Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Bigbury
The very popular Thurlestone Golf Course is nearby with its wonderful sandy beaches and coastal path. Ideal for year round holiday breaks. Bigbury and Dartmouth golf courses are also within easy reach as is our lovely National Dartmoor Park with its wonderful scenery. Dartmouth with its Britannia Royal Naval College is well worth a visit, as is near by Salcombe.

Visit Dartmoor National Park the perfect place to visit if you are looking for a walking holiday. Take in the beautiful scenery, explore the various Torrs and local history, then stop off at one of the many local pubs for a hot drink (or something stronger) before heading back to Spread Eagles.
www.dartmoor-npa.gov.uk - If you are more of a beachy person, there is Bantham and Bigbury beach where you can book yourself in for some surfing lessons or if enjoy a hot chocolate and a snack at the Venus Cafe. Treat yourself to a local ale and a meal at the Pilchard Inn on Burgh Island after you have climbed to the top to take in the views.
